Lori Palmer has 15 years of experience in specialty chemicals working in strategy creation, business management, operations, and technology development. In her current role, she manages a pipeline of incubator businesses that include not only pre-commercial business ventures, but also rapidly growing fledgling business units. Lori's main focus encompasses the exploration of adjacent market opportunities to the existing Ashland portfolio, as well as developing the business strategy, and filling any product portfolio gaps with technical development programs.

Her previous experience with Hercules, DuPont, and ICI focused on business development within the markets of water treatment chemicals, pulp and paper production, synthetic lubricants, electronics, oil refining and petrochemicals.

Lori lived and worked in Europe for 10 years and traveled extensively through Europe, South America and Asia on customer site visits.

Lori completed her executive MBA at Durham Business School of Durham University, England in 2002; with a dissertation Managing Innovation in a Specialty Chemicals Company.  She also holds Bachelors degrees in Chemical and Environmental Engineering from Oklahoma State University and The University of Texas at Austin respectively.
